About Priya
Priya Raman is DollarVisor’s Investing & Banking Specialist.
Before joining DollarVisor, Priya spent six years at a top-20 US retail bank as a product manager for deposit accounts, where her team set the APYs on savings accounts, CDs, and money market products, which means she has sat on the other side of the rate tables this site publishes. She knows exactly how banks decide what to pay you, when teaser rates quietly drop, and which account fees generate the most revenue.
Priya has passed the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 65 examinations. At DollarVisor she reviews every savings, CD, brokerage, retirement, and crypto page, and maintains the monthly rate-refresh calendar that keeps the banking tables current.
She holds a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University and keeps her own emergency fund split across exactly three high-yield accounts: she’s compared them all.
Credentials
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) examination: passed. The SIE is FINRA’s baseline securities-industry exam covering products, risks, market structure, and prohibited practices. Read what the exam covers on FINRA’s official SIE exam page.
- Series 65: Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination: passed. The Series 65 is the NASAA investment-adviser law exam administered by FINRA. Details are on FINRA’s official Series 65 exam page.
- Six years as a deposit-products manager: at a top-20 US retail bank, where her team set the APYs on savings accounts, CDs, and money market products and managed their fee schedules.
- B.S. in Finance, Rutgers University.
- Exam knowledge kept current: Priya reviews investing and banking pages against current FINRA and SEC investor guidance. Under our editorial policy, she reviews investing and banking pages but never writes and reviews the same page.
